What Screening is Used for the Skin & Itch Test?Updated 7 months ago

The Skin & Itch Dog Test gives pet owners the opportunity to get a skin cytology done for up to two areas of irritated skin.

The skin cytology is the diagnostic test used by veterinarians to select appropriate treatment (typically one of more antibiotics, antifungals, and/or anti-inflammatory medications). This test is typically done in the vet clinic and screens for skin mites and mite eggs, yeast, bacteria, skin and inflammatory (immune) cells. Getting this test done in advance of the vet appointment speeds skin treatment selection at the visit.

MySimplePetLab is your direct source for vet approved pet healthcare diagnostics. Test accuracy matters, which is why our laboratory meets or exceeds veterinary professional standards. We use only top-quality testing equipment, precision processes, and experienced laboratory technicians to deliver dependable, accurate results.
