Helpful Tips: Ear Care Dog Kit

Keeping Your Pet Healthy Just Got Easier. Enjoy these vet approved tips below to accompany your Ear Care Dog Kit.

HELPFUL TIPS

What Leads to an Ear Infection?

  • Moisture! A wet, warm, dark ear is the perfect place for yeast and bacteria to grow. Dry those ears after swimming!
  • Allergies to food or pollen
  • Low thyroid level
  • Foreign material like a fox tail
  • Ear mites

TIP:  Following initial 3-5 days of care, Itchy Ear Relief can be used weekly if needed to reduce ear scratching and head shaking.

TIP: Following initial 3-5 days of care, Infected Ear Relief can be used weekly if needed to control ear odor.

TIP: Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) supplements have natural anti-itch properties and are a nice option for ongoing health (not included).

TIP: Antihistamines can occasionally lead some dogs to be excited. Discontinue if this is the case for your dog.

TIP: Some ear infections may require prescription medication. Use a MySimplePetLab Ear Infection Dog Test from home to determine if harmful bacteria or yeast are the cause; then AutoShare test results with your vet.

Consult your vet if:

  • Your dog is not eating, drinking, active, and alert
  • Ears are not improving while using Care Kit
